Effect Description
Bleed Bleed applies a damage over time effect to the enemy.
Brittleness Brittleness debuffs and reduces the enemy's armour. Brittleness disregards Flak and Carapace armor mods and uses the base damage instead for the brittleness portion. At 50% brittleness, half the damage will calculate based on original armor type. Brittleness is basically "Rending" but for all future attacks plus your team also benefits from it. 1 Stack of brittleness = 5%
Burn Burn applies a damage over time effect on the enemy.
Chain Attacks have timed chain-windows. If you continuously keep attacking, chaining from one attack to another, this counts as chaining. Chains start on the second attack in a row.
Impact Impact increases the effectiveness of stagger on enemies. Stagger potential of an attack. Each attack has an Impact number, it is checked vs the stagger thresholds of the target and then picks a type of stagger (light, medium, heavy) and scales duration/distance based on how far you exceed the threshold. More Impact equals more and longer control.
Power Power scales the base of any attack. It determines the amount of damage (straight up hitpoints), amount of Impact (to stagger enemies) and Cleave.
Rending Rending increases your armour penetration. Rending disregards Flak and Carapace armor mods and uses the base damage instead for the rending portion. At 50% rending, half the damage calculates based on original armor type. 1 Stack of rending = 5%
Soulblaze Blue glow on enemies. Adds a damage over time effect to the enemy.
Stagger Stagger means interrupting or knocking enemies back.

Welcome to the Darktide Effects Overview Page. Here you will find all Darktide Effects that are available in the game.

Effects can be found on weapons. Often Darktide doesn't really explain what these effects do, so all you can do is guess. For example the Chainaxe image below has the trait "Thunderous". Target receives 3 Stacks of 5% Brittleness on Hit. Lasts 5s. The game doesn't tell you what Brittleness does. Now if you look at the table here you know it does the following: Brittleness debuffs and reduces the enemy's armour.
