Curios have traits and modifiers on them. Higher quality items will have more perks. Curios are a real game-changer and can make combat a lot easier, especially if you manage to get hold of higher-tier Curios. For example, you could stack 3x 20% Toughness increase alongside 3x 30% Toughness Damage Reduction. This setup would make it insanely hard for enemies to really touch your health. However, the chances that you will actually manage to find three Curios with these traits in Darktide are very slim. You will have to grind a lot to get those juicy stats. But who knows, maybe the Emperor deems you worthy and you get a few good drops! Each character can equip up to 3 Curios. They can either show up in the normal store that resets every hour, or the special store that resets every 24 hours. After a mission, the Emperor might also bless you with a gift and that can also be a Curios. All of the drops are randomly generated, you will have to get lucky to acquire a really good Curio.
